Vakhtang Shoshiashvili has
graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute (TSMI, now - TSMU), faculty of
General Medicine, 1979-1985. Specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care
from TSMI, department of anesthesia and intensive care, 1985-87. He was a
postgraduate medical student at All-Union Cancer Research Center, department of
anesthesia and intensive care, Moscow in 1989-1992 and received PhD degree in
1992 on the theme: “Perioperative immune regulation in cancer patients”. He
worked as an anesthesiologist at the Georgian national cancer research center
(1987 – 2013), New Vision University clinic (2013 - 2015), Research institute
of clinical medicine (2016-2020), TSMU first university clinic (2015 – 2016,
2020 up to now). Since 2013 he is an expert in anesthesia and intensive care at
TSMU and Ministry of Healthcare and Social Affairs Republic of Georgia.
Currently he is an assistant professor, faculty of medicine, TSMU, associate
professor, faculty of medicine, European University, associate professor,
faculty of medicine, Kutaisi University, anesthesiologist, TSMU first
university clinic. Dr. Vakhtang is an author of over 40 peer-reviewed
publications, 1 book and contributed 3 chapters. He serves as an editorial
board member of 3 International/National journals and is a participant of many
national and international scientific events. Lives in Tbilisi, Georgia.
